Florida Vacation: Day 2

The Beach was BEAUTIFUL! On our next vacation I want to stay at a condo near the ocean. One day just wasn't enough.  Surprisingly the water was really cold, but that didn't stop the girls! Olivia loved the waves!

And chasing sea gulls....

Brianna spent most of her time looking for sea shells, and splashing in the ocean with dad.

Little peanut mostly hung out with mommy under the umbrella.

But she did get to check out the cold ocean:

And managed to eat some sand..

It was a lovely day. I really look forward to the day we can come back!

Florida Vacation 2013: Day 1

We finally took a big family vacation (looonngg overdue!) to Florida to visit family and see the ocean.

We stayed in a cute little condo near Orlando. The girls LOVED the pool. I think Brianna would have been perfectly content if we never left the condo. Even in 60 degree weather the girl wanted to swim!

Our first day out and about we went to Downtown Disney. The girls had a blast. There were lots of cute shops, restaurants, fun activities for the kids to do. The weather was perfect, sunny and 75!

                                                             Face painting

Maya was having a blast too. She loved the music and was dancing and smiling the whole time we were there.

There was so much to do, I wish we had time to go back on another day. I guess there is always next year :)

Back at the condo the girls couldn't wait to get in the pool!

Jingles the Elf

This year Jingles the Elf arrived December 1st to stay with our family until Christmas. Brianna doesn't believe in Santa and elves anymore, but she played along for her little sister. Olivia was amazed that an elf showed up under a tree with gifts. The second night he TP'ed out kitchen. She thought it was SO cool! She tucked Jingles under the tree every night, and woke up every morning looking for him.

Here are a few of the things Jingles did while we were sleeping....

He played Hi Ho Cheery-O with Barbie
Made snow angels
A yummy surprise
                                                          TP'ed the dining area!
                                                          He played XBox games
And Jingles painted dad's toenails while he was sleeping!

This is a fun and silly tradition I want to keep for the girls. Although next year we won't have him come so early. It was hard coming up with elf mischief for 25 days!

Halloween 2012

I've always wanted to do a cute themed Halloween with the kids costumes.  This year I was finally able to talk Bri and Olivia into it!

A little update on the girls

In the busyness of of everyday life, I want to remember the small things that make me smile through out the day.

Brianna has become quite the bookworm. As an avid reader myself, this makes me SO happy. I love walking into her room and seeing the pile of books she reading on her desk. She is still doing GREAT in school and just made Honor ROll again this year.

Olivia has such a neat little imagination lately. On any given day she is a mommy, doctor, princess, witch, dog, hunter, or cashier. She is constantly changing her outfits and dressing up in a new character. She is at such a fun age!

Maya is still as sweet as ever. Her favorite place to hang out is in my arms. She is a pretty relaxed baby, and is pretty content sitting and observing her world. She is no hurry to crawl or keep up with her old sisters just yet. And that is fine with me! She can stay my calm, quiet baby for as long as she wants ;)

Christmas 2011

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love all the fun traditions, like the Advent Calendar, and seeing Santa at the mall. We did the Advent wreath this year too (although not every night like we were suppose to). Olivia loved eating by candle light and Brianna loved leading us in prayer. Such special memories.

Brianna said this was the best Christmas EVER!

Do you think she's excited? ;)

Olivia got the purple computer she asked Santa for.

It's hard to believe by next Christmas I'll have 3 children to watch open presents, and share more fabulous memories with <3

Glasses and Gymnastics

Brianna has been hoping and praying for glasses for about a year now. This week ger wish finally came true!

Doesn't she look cute?!

She was literally smiling from ear to ear when the Doc. said she needed glasses! It turns out she astigmatism, but she only needs to wear her glasses while reading and doing homework for now.

Gymnastics:

On Saturday we decided to check out the open gym at the Gymnastics place Brianna use to go to.

The girls LOVED it! Olivia ran around like a crazy girl, and Brie decided she wants to sign up for a gymnastics class again. I'm going to sign Livvy up too when she gets a little older.
